Dempo Sports club made history by becoming the first Indian club to make the semi-finals of the AFC Cup, but Dempo have one last chance to take a good shot at a bigger slice of history. The Goan giants take on Lebanese side Safa in the second leg of their AFC Cup semi-final at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad on Tuesday, and coach Armando Colaco admits that their last 1-0 defeat to the Lebanon side will not have any impact on the players.
Amando colaco said, We watched the videos of their matches, they are a good side. We have played them earlier and I know that if the players play to their potential then we will definitely win the match, For all practical purposes, Dempo have a fair shot at going one step further, as playing the home leg second has always been an advantage in home-and-away formats.
The players are gearing up for the match tomorrow and they just want to prove a point. They are focused and if score an early goal then we have a chance to make it to the finals. Though we lost the first leg but the players are not demoralized, Colaco added. Injury is a cause of concern for Dempo coach as striker Ranty Martins and mid-fielder Roberto Mendes Silva are likely to take the field as substitute.
Dempos line up seems to be a strong one with India defender Mahesh Gawli leads a well-knit back-four that includes the impressive Samir Naik, while left-winger Nicolau Borges is one of the most exciting players in the I-League. With a defeat in back of his mind Armando Colaco says that there will be a few changes as far as their strategy and formation goes.

Is this right to protest with nacked poster in olympic

The seven time medalist in swimming Ms. Amanda Beard is also an animal lover. This is good, but She made a protest by holding her naked poster for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) outside the main road of the Beijing Olympic Village to voice her no-animal-skin is not fair. because, atleast sports place we should not protest like this. This is cheap to gain popularity. there is also many other way to protest.
The Chinese authorities did their best to limit the impact of her protest, shutting down a press conference which PETA had planned on the terrace of a hotel overlooking the ‘Water Cube’ Olympic swimming venue.
After police turned organisers away from the hotel citing ’safety concerns’, Ms Beard was forced to present her message from the side of the main road outside the Athlete’s Village.
Swimmer Beard, said she had no intention of upsetting the Chinese authorities, but wanted to convey her anti-fur message in China which is the world’s leading fur exporter.

Swimmer Amnda loves playing wii

Odds are you know dick about swimming. And that’s OK. It ranks somewhere between timber sports and cricket on the American sports passion meter. But you probably know Amanda Beard. The seven-time medalist has transcended the two-week focus on aquatic racing that rolls into the world consciousness every four years. It doesn’t hurt that she’s been on the cover of FHM, Playboy and featured in Sports Illustrated’s iconic swimsuit issue. Beard has snagged another cover, only this time she’s gracing the frontside Beijing 2008, from Sega. As it turns out, she’s actually a gamer herself.
Amanda says, I love playing the Wii. We do it at parties and stuff. I make people bring it over so we can play bowling and tennis and stuff. I haven’t tried the Mario and Sonic Olympic Games yet, but it sounds right up my alley–a little bit of old school with a little bit of new school. Perfect.
According to Amanda, Swimming is really hard in the game. The first couple of times I played I was really bad. I spent an hour and a half on the game because I couldn’t walk away without

Olympic Gupsup

Opening ceremony video leaked :
One Korea SBS reporter just shot the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony rehearsal and put it up on Korean TV, now everywhere on the Web. The sad part is that we still do not know how the Olympic flame (the real climax) will be lighted up. reporter at SBS in Seoul denied the broadcaster had acted inappropriately to obtain the footage. “We went, and nobody stopped us. So we just shot,” the unnamed reporter told to a news agency. anyway this is not fair.

Olympic Gupsup :

Iraq in Beijing : Iraq is going to the Beijing Olympics after all after International Olympic Committee (IOC) lifted its ban on the country on Tuesday. As the deadline for competitors at the Games for all events except athletics passed on July 23 the Iraqi delegation will now have only two athletes — discus thrower Haidar Nasir and sprinter Danma Hussein .We can see Iraqi flag in the opening ceremony.
Win medal, get money : UAE told its player that win medal, get lot of money in cash. United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be giving out cash rewards to its athletes if they clinch a first, second or third place. The first gets 1 million dirhams ($272,480), second takes 750,000 dirhams and the third will take away 500,000 dirhams. The UAE will send a team of eight athletes to Beijing Olympics, which is the largest delegation sent by the Gulf country to the Olympic Games.
Can't access website at media center : Journalists at Beijing International Media Center (BIMC) are having trouble accessing web sites such as Amnesty site, Human Rights Watch, Chinese language sites for BBC, Voice of America and Hong Kong’s Apple Daily. China routinely blocks access to Web sites it deems inappropriate, including those containing pornography, violence, magic and superstition themes, and especially anti-government material, such as those critical of the Chinese Communist Party or supporting independence for Taiwan, Tibet, or Xinjiang. So much for media freedom.

Out before start olympic

Paul Hamm, the golden boy of US gymnastics team, withdrew from the Beijing Olympics on Monday. An injured hand and lack of time to practise were the main reasons for his withdrawal. Raj Bhavsar will replace Hamm to shine in the Games next month.
Paul Hamm’s withdrawal is a huge blow for the Americans, who were fourth at last year’s world championships and hoped his return — and that of Morgan — would get them back on the podium. Hamm is the only American to win the world (2003) or Olympic (2004) all-around titles.

IS THIS OUR MOTTO FOR ORGANISING OLYMPIC GAMES

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) promises a very safe Beijing Olympics next month. And probably room for peaceful protests.
Beijing has deployed nearly 110,000 personnel, including policemen, army troops and volunteers, and mobilized the whole society to ensure the security of the Games. Beijing did designate several parks for protests.
the founders of olympic never thought in dreams that one day more then on lakh people required for safety of this games, which is symbol of peace. who is culprit for all this situation, that is another matter, but on the eve of games if something happen wrong, then no one can show his face, whether they are organiser or protester of games. It will be black day in the history of olympic if protester and troops fight.

Is sania mom's could be her coach?

The Indian sqaud for Beijing olympic for different games sent to sports ministry for approval. In which where boxer’s could not got physical trainer, while tennis star Sania Mirza’s mom Nasima Mirza showed in the list as her coach. as we all know that she has no experience as coach.
According to olympic rules only 42 official can go with Indian sqaud, in which coach, doctor, physio, trainer, manager included. as different sports federation’s of india sent list of there event to sports ministry, in which 48 officials are included.
In the list of boxing federation lists, they have sent four officials names to sports ministry and Indian Olympic Association, in which coach jose balas and G.S.Sandhu, manager coaibe salam and Physical trainer Heath Matthews included. but only three official got place in list, as only 42 officials can get ticket of Beijing. so Boxer missed there physical trainer heath in olympic. but in the tenis team, 10 officals are included, in which personal trainer and manager of Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupati and Sania Mirza is included. while Sania’s mother included as coach. while she dosn’t know ABC.... of tenis. what a joke. It happens only in India.
